Drop off day is Thursday April 14th.
-----------------------------------------------
Hello!
Thank you for volunteering to bake cookies for our Cookies for Kids' Cancer fundraiser on April 16! Our event is about 2 weeks away, and this email will give you all the details you need for baking, packing and delivering your goodies.
• If you're still deciding what types of goodies to make, please opt for cookies or treats that aren't fragile and can be bagged (i.e. no sticky frosting). Need inspiration? Here are some recipes: http://www.cookiesforkidscancer.org/Articles.asp?ID=139
• As you're baking, feel free to take photos, especially if you're baking with your kids or a group of buddies. The CFKC site loves to document its bake sales with photos! Email any photos (with captions if possible) to cookiesforkidsATL@gmail.com.
• Plan to pack the cookies in a big disposable food container, such as GladWare containers (we specifically mention Glad as they are one of the sponsors of CFKC and will be matching the money we earn, so we like to support them when we can!). Make sure to pack them to avoid breakage! We will be portioning and repackaging cookies in special CFKC bags.
• Label your container with your name, what kind of cookies they are, and if they have any special dietary considerations (i.e. if they're gluten free, vegan, dairy free, etc)
• Dropoff day is Thursday, April 14 from 9 a.m.-7 p.m.. You can drop off your cookies at one of two locations:
Jessica Harlan (Grant Park)
708 Berne St. SE (between Cameron and Eloise)
Atlanta GA 30312
404-590-8290
(Leave on the porch if there's no answer)
Sharyn Bernard Mulqueen (Buckhead)
89 26th St. NW
Atlanta GA 30309
678-361-6406
(Leave on the steps if there's no answer)
If you cannot drop off your cookies at one of these locations or on that day, please contact one of us at the phone numbers above, or email cookiesforkidsatl@gmail.com to discuss other arrangements.
Be sure to visit the Cookies for Kids' Cancer Booth during the Dogwood Festival on Saturday, April 16, and tell all your friends! We will be in the new Greensward area in Piedmont Park, which is near the parking deck and the steps leading to the Botanic Gardens. On this map (http://www.piedmontpark.org/visit/park_map.html) it is just northeast of the Botanic Gardens and the parking deck, with the closest street being Monroe Dr. Please make sure to allow ample time to find parking, or even better, plan to take MARTA to the festival!
Finally, we are also still looking for volunteers to help us bake, repackage and label cookies on Friday, April 15, and to work the booth at the Dogwood Festival on Saturday, April 16. To see the available shifts and to sign up, please visit our VolunteerSpot site at: http://tinyurl.com/AtlantaCFKC.
Thank you again for helping us with our goal of raising at least $20,000 for Cookies for Kids' Cancer, to help fund pediatric research.
